Opportunity for kids to help kids!
Good morning full-time teachers and parents (home-school teachers 😂)! If you are looking for a meaningful e-learning project for your students this month, read on! This is for any age group and for individual students or entire classes.
Must Care has worked with the youth within TJJD since 2018, and we are currently looking to encourage the boys at Mc Fadden Ranch (local halfway house). Due to COVID-19, they have not been allowed to have any visits from family, volunteers, or mentors. These are 14-18yo boys, several who have their own children. They have been extremely limited in how they spend their time and these are lonely times.
We have received approval to allow school-aged kids to write them letters (and will be following appropriate safety rules). If you are interested in having your kids be an encouragement to other kids during this time, here is how you can help. - Encourage your students to write encouraging notes or letters to these young boys - Draw pictures or include uplifting scriptures and quotes - Letters may include the author's initials, but no name, address, number, etc. - If a student would like to receive a response from the boy who received the note, or if you’d like to coordinate a larger effort for your class/school, please send me a message.
These boys would love to hear from your students and would be encouraged by any communication!
Feel free write emails or send scanned letters/notes to:
or you can mail them to:
